I am maintaining a S. Chinese XIM input software, and most of Chinese 
users like the input bar can follow the position of the input cursor. 
But, OOo does not give the XIM the correct cursor position when clicking 
mouse buttons, so, especially when switching to OOo from other 
applications, the input bar of XIM always indicates a wrong position and 
acts normally after a new input.
