Yes, this is a part of GSOC'13. Please feel free to write the proposal and 
submit it to gsoc melange.

Basically a theoretical understanding of clustering algorithm and distributed 
computer systems (Hadoop, Hama, BSP model, Pregel) is needed to complete this 
task.
