I applied the patch contained in HARMONY-2817, but it does not fix my  
problem.

stress.Mix still hangs every time I run it.  Note, that stress.Sync  
never hangs for me.

Also, I have tried running stress.Mix with the Sun JDK 1.5.0_09 and  
it passed without any problem or any OutOfMemoryError's.

Actually the patch fixes two problems. The first fix is for exception
propogation mechanism under interpreter in shutdown stage. The second
fix helps to stop threads which do waiting on some object. I would
suggest to apply this patch and see if stress.Sync still hangs
sometimes.

Under CC this test passed now. I think failure rate is not too  
high for this
test (at least on my Linux box).
