From the edge profile you can get count of any basic block (CFG node) or any instruction inside this basic block. Edge profile is used in -Xem:server mode only. You can get count of any instruction in the optimizer during SD2_OPT JIT recompilation stage: inst->getNode()->getExecCount() Is that what you need?
