Yes. At least while we can't tune testing machine's configuration
without failures of other tests.

This sounds for me that we should exclude "others test" not
AbstractPreferencesTest :-)
Well, I'm OK with adding AbstractPreferencesTest to exclude list
(intermittent?) for Linux with corresponding JIRA filed (against
AbstractPreferencesTest).
