Hi, Sorry for being out of action for a bit. These days are the festive season in this part of the world. I'm going trough some Swing articles and looking through the FreeCol code. I couldn't find the 0.6.x code (I've made a request to their dev list. to send me the repo location), so I'm working with the 0.7.x source.
