Thanks Wen. And the motivation for HAWQ Ranger support is to integrate with other systems such as Hive, HBase in Hadoop Eco-system on the user authorization part. By providing a centralized user authorization, Ranger provides a web UI to manage the ACL information of all the systems.
The main work focus on HAWQ Ranger plugin development, and ACL change on HAWQ side.
