We still need to release something somewhat stabilized, that's
unaffected by new features coming while we do that.

Personally I'd like to see HBASE-2838 in that release, gives some
insight into what's happening when replication is enabled. I posted a
basic patch on RB yesterday, that's probably enough for now.
