I fully agree that we should see stable test suite passing before declaring RC.
Nicolas raised some good questions in 'On HBase 1.0' thread. I tried to solicit discussion in the other thread titled 'managing complexity of clean Jenkins builds'. We should make some decisions for the next major release. Hopefully we would work something out next Tuesday.
