hbase-0.92.0.tar.gz looks like this: ./ ./hbase-0.92.0/ ./hbase-0.92.0/hbase-0.92.0-tests.jar ./hbase-0.92.0/lib/ ... Should be like this instead:
hbase-0.92.0/ hbase-0.92.0/hbase-0.92.0-tests.jar hbase-0.92.0/lib/ ... This is indeed subtle... I too have seen tar doing strange things with this sometimes, though. A normal untar produces the same result as ./ is a "noop". -- Lars ----- Original Message ----- From: Stack <[email protected]> To: [email protected]; Roman Shaposhnik <[email protected]> Cc: Sent: Friday, December 9, 2011 4:37 PM Subject: Re: ANN: The first hbase 0.92.0 release candidate is available for download On Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 3:11 PM, Roman Shaposhnik <[email protected]> wrote: > Took RC0 for a spin in Bigtop. I don't see this. I download hbase-0.92.0.tar.gz and when I untar it I get an hbase-0.92.0 dir and in this dir is the README, CHANGES.txt, etc. St.Ack
