Hello, At the hackathon last month, I threw out a suggestion for an RC test matrix checklist, to make RC testing a bit more structured and to give the release manager and others a way to see the test coverage for a particular RC.
I've come up with something, and posted it at: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/ReleaseCandidateTestMatrix and made a link to it from: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/Hbase/HowToRelease It's relatively high-level, because we want wide participation in the RC testing, and setting strict configurations/limits/etc. is not conducive to that. Please let me know what you think and what changes should be made, by commenting on HBASE-6091. Stack has empowered me to chase folks (presumably RMs) who are not using the checklist for future RCs. ;) Regards, - Dave
