Sorry about not asking the question correctly.
I am new to HBase is a distributed database and asked to evaluate HBase.

Are Hive / Pig procedural languages for HBase? (with shell as the 
command line utility)
(Just as oracle has SQL as the query language and PLSQL as its 
procedural language)

Please let me know asap
