I just pull it up via the javadoc jars with my IDE. Not worth the
time/effort to build/maintain. It would be good to add a pointer to
external websites instead of just making broken links (for those who
have the current URLs bookmarked).

The xref pages were useful once before grepcode and easy navigation in
apache git and github. Now, not so much. It is a long time since I've seen
anyone make a citation using xref pointers. Meantime the pages add a bunch
of bulk to our site.
I suggest we undo their generation as part of site build and remove the
xref links from our site menus?
Thoughts?
