This broke several IA.Public interfaces in the 2.0 branch without a proper
deprecation cycle (i.e. not marked deprecated in 1.0, but removed in 2.0).
Presuming we keep it in (probably worth a DISCUSS on dev@), it needs to be
called out as incompatible and given a release note.
(One example of a broken interface that I don't even see deprecation notices on
is {{SnapshotInfo}}.)
