I for one always prefer the website - IMHO the wiki is just a
scratchpad for quick and un-finished docs; as soon as they are more
mature they should be promoted to "site-status" :-)
I think the website is normally better, but for stuff that's mainly
intended for developers the Wiki seems just as good; it's a lot easier
to update.
Since the documentation is still in flux at the moment,
the Wiki is the right place either way. By properly linking
specific Wiki pages from the website instead of expecting
people to go looking in the Wiki separately, we can also
minimize the impact. That's what the user-docs and dev-docs
pages are meant for.
