Oleg Kalnichevski commented on HTTPCLIENT-1117:
-----------------------------------------------
There are no known performance issues with HttpClient 4.1.x. Without additional
details as to where exactly in the HttpClient code those spikes seem to occur,
I'll have no other choice but to close this issue as can't reproduce. All I can
recommend at this point is make sure no deprecated methods are used anywhere in
your application code and to collect more details about the issue I could act
upon.

> Project: HttpComponents HttpClient
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: HttpClient
> Affects Versions: 4.1.2
> Environment: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS, jdk1.6.0_20, jboss-4.2.3
> Reporter: Steven Heutinck
>
> I was upgrading from HttpClient 4.0.1 to 4.1.2. Everything worked OK but
> when I deployed to production JBoss started using all the CPU on the box with
> moderate load. Typically, jboss would only use 10% of the cpu. The only
> thing that change was the HttpClient.
