Hi Miles,
Try checking out the whole project (not the src/site part):
$ svn co https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/httpcomponents/httpclient/trunk
httpcomponents-client
$ cd httpcomponents-client
$ mvn install site:site
(You want to run maven from the top level of the project, usually). The site
should get generated under target/site.
