We've just run into this problem after switching to JRE 1.7 with Server HotSpot
VM. "-XX:-UseLoopPredicate and -XX:LoopUnrollLimit=1" didn't help. After
playing with JVM options a bit, it looks like "-XX:-LoopUnswitching" helps to
solve this. Checking now under more load...
