Hi Ryan This is most like done for compatibility reasons or no reason at all. The RFC, however, has this passage: --- The Hypertext Transport Protocol (HTTP) auth-scheme of "negotiate" is defined here; --- which seems suggest that there may be different interpretations. At the same time AuthSchemas#SPNEGO is just a constant. We could change its value in a feature release.
