I intend to revise (and likely rewrite) most of the NIO reactor code for
5.0. In particular I would like to simplify IOSessionImpl and try to reduce
footprint of code that requires synchronization. I also need to rethink the way
SSL is done. In fact, this might be the right moment to consider using a third
party NIO framework instead of our custom code. But let's discuss it on the dev
list.
