Yes, official port works for API 22 and lower
Stock version is sincerelly not usable, Gradle (buildscript) refuses to use the
packages as they would conflict, on API23 alone it could work, but on lower
APIs it will be conflict with what is provided on runtime classpath.
Yes, HttpClientAndroidLib is usable, but old
I get it, I'll give it some time and probably will provide Maven distributed
repackaged versions of stock HttpClient libraries.
Would be still cool if you could provide this officially, but I get it if you
don't have the resources to do so.
