Oleg Kalnichevski commented on HTTPASYNC-92:
--------------------------------------------

Hi Sergey
I did not get a go-ahead from Dan so felt it there was no point rushing the
release. In the meantime a couple of things got fixed in the core components
and I decided to hold off the release until those issues were fully resolved
and fixes available in a public release of HttpCore.

I would be really great though if you could test the latest HttpAsyncClient
snapshot with CXF and let us know if there are any issues. I would be sad to
cut this release only to find out it you cannot upgrade due to some regressions.

> The 4.1.0 release version of the httpasyncclient-osgi bundle does not import
> org.apache.http.ssl. This prevents the async client from working properly
> in OSGI. You get an error of "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
> org.apache.http.ssl.SSLContexts cannot be found by
> org.apache.httpcomponents.httpasyncclient_4.1.0"
> This is a blocker for CXF as we encourage people that need PATCH support to
> use the Async client as the default HTTP URL connection based transport does
> not support PATCH.
