Hi GaryThis is the next step for the JDK 9 EA builds. I believe you seem to be the best person to be the point of contact - but not sure if it would be possible with your other work / commitments?

CC: [email protected] Hi Asankha, Would you like us to list your Project(s) on the Quality Outreach wiki [1] ? If yes, can you provide a contact name , mailing list , the current status of you testing against JDK 8 & JDK 9, and a CI if possible ? Secondly, would you like to receive regular updates regarding Early Access builds for JDK 9 and JDK 8 updates. Emails are sent every 2-3 weeks depending on contents of the builds, example attached. If yes, do you want me to send the emails to you or to a mailing list ? Rgds,Rory [1] https://wiki.openjdk.java.net/display/quality/Quality+Outreach On 21/11/2016 09:12, Asankha C. Perera wrote:
Hi Dalibor / Rory I shared your offer among the development team [1], and they are interested to participate. I cannot guarantee about a level of commitment from the group, but I believe the interest is honest. Could you update me on the details of how this will work? thanks asankha [1] https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/d6a7ff0291bc29fd2965b9dac79100dbacbcd9e43ee27921ddc5bbeb@%3Cdev.hc.apache.org%3E On 11/14/2016 06:58 PM, dalibor topic wrote:Hi Asankha, I thought I'd reach out to you about adding your popular open source project to the Quality Outreach [1][2] effort that Rory (CC:ed, as the OpenJDK Quality Group Lead) leads. As part of that effort, we're trying to encourage more community testing of JDK Early Access (EA) builds, and assist those projects that participate in filing, tracking and (hopefully) resolving issues they find along the way. Currently, about 70 FOSS projects participate in the effort. So I'm curious you have run into any showstopper issues, assuming that you've had a chance to test with JDK 9, and if so, if you have filed any issues against the JDK discovered while testing with JDK 9 (or an earlier release), and, last but not least, if you'd be interested in joining the Quality Outreach effort with your project. Rory can fill you in on the details of how it all works. cheers, dalibor topic [1] https://wiki.openjdk.java.net/display/quality/Quality+Outreach [2] https://wiki.openjdk.java.net/download/attachments/21430310/TheWisdomOfCrowdTestingOpenJDK.pdf
