@[~jmb]: HttpCore, the HTTP transport library HttpAsyncClient is based upon, 
treats {{Error}} s as non-recoverable, fatal conditions. It makes no attempts 
to recover from {{Error}} s of any type. 

I personally have never seen more or less complex application that could 
gracefully recover from an OOM error.
