Ryan Schmitt commented on HTTPCLIENT-1942:
------------------------------------------
[~olegk] Can you take a look at [what I have so
far|https://github.com/rschmitt/httpcomponents-core/commit/reactive?diff=unified]
and let me know what you think? The client side should be feature complete. It
consists of two public classes, {{ReactiveEntityProducer}} and
{{ReactiveResponseConsumer}}. Additionally, there are two non-public classes,
{{ReactiveDataConsumer}} and {{ReactiveDataProducer}}, that serve as adapters
between Apache and Reactive streaming types; these types do most of the work,
on both the client side and the (not yet written) server side.
> Add support for Reactive Streams

> It would be very helpful to me if the Apache client provided an
> implementation of the [Reactive Streams|http://www.reactive-streams.org/]
> spec, particularly as an implementation of the standard
> [interfaces|https://search.maven.org/artifact/org.reactivestreams/reactive-streams/1.0.2/jar].
> These interfaces are JDK6-compatible and have no other dependencies, but
> they unlock interoperability with many other frameworks, such as RxJava.
