Michael Osipov commented on HTTPCLIENT-1625:
--------------------------------------------
I haven't found the time to work on this had little need because our clients
are either in C or C#. Backend is Java. Kerb4J is a fork of the old jaaslounge
code. It adds a lot of unnecessary boilerplate code to a client. Working with
GSS loop is quite simple, but to be properly embedded into the code.
> Completely overhaul GSS-API-based authentication backend

> The current implementation does not reflect the way GSS-API-based
> authentication should be done. It has several design flaws.
> This is an umbrella task for:
> 1. Deprecate all old classes
> 2. Investigate how it has to be plugged into HttpClient
> 3. Reimplement from scratch
> 4. Thoroughly test all new stuff
> 5. Rewrite documentation
