I tried increasing the kern.maxfiles:
{code:java}
~ sudo sysctl kern.maxfiles=118304
kern.maxfiles: 98304 -> 118304
~ sysctl kern.maxfiles
kern.maxfiles: 118304 {code}
But after increasing it I still am only able to run that test 280 times. It 
seems that every time IOReactor is created it creates 12 threads (I have 12 
cores) for a maximum of 3360 threads.
