> @michael-o We had 3 committers in the past who were voted in based solely on their OSGi contributions. They took no interest in other aspects of the project and basically faded away leaving us to deal with their legacy code. > > OSGi bundles can be maintained outside of the project by people who understand OSGi and care about it, while we can focus on things we understand and care about. > > I will not stand in your way but do please consider this. There is a fundemantal difference these days: There is *no* separate module/bundle necessary, there is no problematic `bundle-maven-plugin` anymore. The new plugin does not touch the packaging at all, it just augments our `MANIFEST.MF` with OSGi metadata. This is absolutely fine for me. Maintaining Maven Resolver for years now haven't been a problem with the BND Maven Plugin. So the previous pain won't be there, basically. Moreover, I know the quality work from @laeubi so I am willing to review a PR for core and client beginning beginning with master branches. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
