It has come to our attention that there was a bug in Task Framework in 0.8.3. In short, Task Framework fails to honor instance tag constraints when assigning tasks. This is critical and may break other services built on Helix.
In order to fix forward, I'd like to solicit advice on how to potentially deprecate 0.8.3 and call for a vote and publish another major version with the fix. Although it's only been days since 0.8.3 was released, this bug is critical enough that it warrants a new release. Please reply to this email thread with your thoughts, Hunter
