Yes this is another example where we have two solutions, but neither is
properly maintained.

I propose these get reduced into one.

I am of the opinion that the Helm chart is very easy to install. Especially
once we have the published helm chart in Artifactory it will be even easier.

Another related task would be to produce example values.yml files for
different configurations. I have appreciated this pattern when found in
other repos such as Pulsar's Helm chart repo.

We should have a minikube config and others if there are other patterns.
(i.e. minikube vs production or Bookkeeper vs S3).

Once we get through this release, I can spend some time on cleaning up the
yamls and documentation.

If we want to maintain the extra yamls, we should still clean them up and
make sure they are updated for new Kubernetes, do not have old bugs like
the zookeeper split brain issue we fixed in the helm chart. Also we should
still simplify into relevant use cases. Maybe minikube vs production. The
GCE vs baremetal distinctions probably don't make sense anymore.
