Hi,

We've had a few conversations on the state of the Heron codebase, features,
and most importantly its community. We'd like to start a discussion about
if Heron is ready to graduate from the incubator.

Nick asked this question in another thread that I think would be good for
us all to think and talk about on this email thread.

"If we think the community can grow, we should be able to speak to the
value of Heron. Why would someone pick Heron over Flink or Storm? There are
often tradeoffs when comparing frameworks. What are the strengths of Heron
in today's ecosystem?"

Also:

We have some work in front of us to publish the convenience binaries for
the latest release. I offered to help with this, but would be happy to
show anyone willing to learn how to work through this to help spread the
knowledge. Is anyone wanting to learn how to do this?

Please respond here with your thoughts, comments and/or concerns.

- Josh
