HIVE-9038 brought up this issue of lacking a filter tag in the case of tez for
certain types of queries. This is the jira where we want to fix this in a right
way.
My suggestion is to have a select operator that is added as a parent to the RS
operator in the case of map joins that adds a filter tag in case of the table
having filters.
