Hi All, I recently noticed a few Apache projects establishing their presence on LinkedIn—most recently Apache Impala [1]. This got me thinking that it might be worthwhile for Apache Hive to do something similar.
LinkedIn has a strong professional audience, and having an official Apache Hive page could help increase our visibility, attract contributors, and reach a broader set of users and developers. I’d love to hear your thoughts. If the community is supportive, I’m happy to take the lead on setting this up. As far as I know, the PMC is empowered to manage social media accounts for the project, so we likely won’t need Infra involvement unless we run into something unusual.
