Mithun Radhakrishnan resolved HIVE-4274.
----------------------------------------
Resolution: Duplicate
Fix Version/s: 0.14.0
Assignee: Mithun Radhakrishnan
I've fixed this as part of HIVE-7341. {{HCatTable.owner(String)}} allows the
owner-string to be set manually. Also, {{HCatTable}} instances constructed from
existing tables in the metastore set the owner correctly, as seen from
{{HCatTable::HCatTable(Table)}}. Available in trunk, branch-0.14.
> Table created using HCatalog java client doesn't set the owner

> HCatalog client doesn't seem to set the owner field. The owner field of the
> table remains null instead of being populated with the user who created the
> table. Creating table with hive cli seems to work fine.
