Jason Dere commented on HIVE-8115: ---------------------------------- MInor thing, but it looks like the 3 lines under "// reset keyValueSeparatorPosition" are done whether or not lazyKey is null. Maybe get rid of the continue statement and use an if-else so that both cases fall into the reset keyValueSeparatorPosition code afterwards. Also, is it possible to add a test case for this? > Hive select query hang when fields contain map > ---------------------------------------------- > > Key: HIVE-8115 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-8115 > Project: Hive > Issue Type: Bug > Affects Versions: 0.13.0 > Reporter: Xiaobing Zhou > Assignee: Xiaobing Zhou > Attachments: HIVE-8115.1.patch, HIVE-8115.2.patch, HIVE-8115.3.patch, > createTable.hql, data > > > Attached the repro of the issue.
