This might generally be useful for more sophisticated HiveMind versioning. This
class supports more forms of versions than just <major>.<minor>.<patch> and can
deal with version patterns:
* "1.1" => exactly version 1.1
* "1.1+" => 1.1 or newer
* "1.1-1.2" => 1.1 or newer, but not 1.2 or newer
It also supports matching of matterns against exact versions and
intersectioning of patterns (e.g. "1.1-2.0" & "1.5+" => "1.5-2.0").
There are no dependencies other than java.util and java.util.regex.
