Hi Hop developers, Lately we have had to do quite some cleaning up when it comes to adding a milestone to issues. If you are a committer to the project (and have permissions to edit issues) please attach the current milestone when claiming an issue. I will take a look if I can have the .take-issue command do this automatically. Then the milestone wil also be added when contributors claim a ticket.
Adding the milestone does not mean the work has to be finished before the end of the milestone, all remaining open tickets are moved to the next milestone. When reviewing and merging a PR, please double check the linked issues are closed and have a milestone. Github has some rules as to when it automatically closes a linked issue [1], not everyone uses this syntax.
