1.3 apxs problems with Linux...

Ok, now, I might be a complete idiot, but I'm hearing way-too-many
complaints about apxs not exporting the LD_SHLIB value under Linux.

Did anyone encountered this problem before? Or can I safely assume that
 apxs -q LD_SHLIB = apxs -q CC
if the first one doesn't return the right values?
