+1 (me too). Although I have no clue what the proper solution to this, I'm kind of sure that if we are choosing based off file size, that is wrong. There is no correlation between file size and actual content size (think of a php-file versus a static file). The only thing I could think of is a preference directive like so: Prefer html shtml php jsp cgi I'm not sure I absolutely like it, but I don't know how else we can achieve what we want. It sounds like it must explicit.
