Thanks for the review comments. I agree that the comments are a bit more for a experienced user, and probably just right for a new-user. I can certainly reduce the details, and point the user to the docs. for more information. (Can we point them to the existing documentation at www.modssl.org ?..) BTW, the config file is the *same* as the one used in Apache 1.3.x.. So, the credit goes to Ralf :-)..

Why don't we start by creating a good set of docs for mod_ssl (currently there are none in the repository). Then the config file comments should contain only the most crucial information (reminders, really) and a pointer to the docs. Joshua.
