Hell yah. I'm going to follow up to this thread in a sec, but just wanted to chime in with a high-level comment here. Justin's recent changes have *improved* the input filter stack. The problems that we're seeing at higher levels are because those higher levels made assumptions. That is why we have a showstopper item about rethinking > the input filters. The output filters seem to be quite fine. The input filters have problems, but Justin just made a big step in fixing them. There are a couple more steps to do.
