Sorry for replying late (was at a conference this week). Ok I went through and looked at everything again. The problem was that some of the stuff I was trying to compile from another Open Source package conflicted. No idea what really because I just ended up reformating. I was playing around with GNOME and trying to get a development environment up and running. With a fresh install of YDL 2.1 everything worked out fine. Now here is another question. What do all of you use as a development tool? The reason I ask is that by having to use YDL there are not that many commercial IDE's available (basically none). But thanks for the help...
