Of course.  And I, for one, wouldn't want to see ldap in the tree anywhere
but experimental until it has several +1's for stability [both in development
and by end-users.]  If ldap is truly stable [at least as stable as proxy, in
spite of the few bite-us bugs that have been reported] then that would be
cool.

In the development tree?  Cool.  But not in the stable/GA tree until it is
stable/ga, or park it off in experimental.

Note I'm not in favor of experimental becoming a dumping ground for those
things that just 'don't work'.  Experimental is good for those bits complete
enough for some user testing, comments and other feedback.
