Loading mod_ldap as module fails to link

Hi all,

When compiling mod_ldap as a module on Linux, for some reason attempts to load mod_auth_ldap fails like so:

[minfrin@jessica httpd-2.0]# /opt/local/apache/bin/apachectl configtest
Syntax error on line 242 of /opt/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /opt/local/apache/modules/mod_auth_ldap.so into server: /opt/local/apache/modules/mod_auth_ldap.so: undefined symbol: util_ldap_connection_close

Anyone know why this happens...?
