Sorry, my fault. The CGI runs ...completely! That is it sends contents over the wire not just the headers. Shame on me. Mozilla doesn't seem to like this behaviour, though. I have fixed the CGI in question, but there are many other CGIs which don't cope with head. How about making Apache (read mod_cgi) ignore extra output for HEAD requests? Masi
