Not with Solaris 9 itself, but we tried worker with the new thread library (which has a 1:1 mapping of user-level to kernel-level threads) under Solaris 8. Functionally, it worked as well as the old M:N thread library. I think the 1:1 library was slightly slower, but it I can't remember for sure. Ian H may still have the numbers...
