The trouble is that any work hacking it into mod_authnz_ldap isn't the kind of work that can be extended to other modules, it will simply be a hack into mod_authnz_ldap. Yes, we can then extend the same hack into the other modules, but then we're just duplicating functionality across modules that should be common.
