sympathy seems to be the operative word here...  perhaps there is a
happy medium somewhere between showing sympathy for the
can't-help-themselves-so-stupid-they-picked-a-broken-OS folks and
showing sympathy for the
running-their-system-at-98%-CPU-serving-static-files-and-need-some-headroom
folks...
