Following the advices below and to react to

  http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=34607

I inform the httpd community about the availability of a patch to
mod_ssl permitting different certificates based of the the servername
tls extension or Host: values. For TLS extensions the development
version of openssl is required. The patch also removes problem
introduces by some 'const'ifying og SSL_method.

Kaspar, Thanks for your response.

Peter. Would you be willing to submit your patch to the ASF for
review/inclusion in Apache

Hi Yusuf,

Hi Kaspar, I came across this site https://sni.velox.ch/ and saw the
modified Edelkey patch. Have you submitted this officially to the Apache
group ?
No, I was actually trying to convince the author of the original patch
(Peter Sylvester) to do that, some time last summer. But unfortunately,
I wasn't successful then...

That way it could be reviewed and possibly included in a future
release
There's also an entry in Apache's Bugzilla for it:

   http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=34607

Based on that, I encouraged Peter Sylvester to submit his patch
(including any of my modifications, as he would see fit), but this
didn't really happen... maybe it would help if you contact him about
this, again? He can be reached at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Regards,
Kaspar
