Depends on the working set and your amount of memory. If it's just temporary storage then no, as most data won't even hit the disk. If it's more of a cache then partially. Updates will use write bandwidth to the disks, and not so frequently accessed objects will use read bandwidth as well. the filesystem "bandwidth" is pretty negiable these days. Very close to raw I/O + memory cache. Regards Henrik
